The Annual International Medical Students' (AIMS) Meeting is an international medical congress hosted at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, entirely held by students every year on March. With renowned international and national speakers and a huge range of practical workshops on several medical fields, this is one of the most complete and alluring congresses for students in Europe. Since it is a three day congress, each one consists on a subject module and all the scientific lectures related to it. Besides these, there are also keynote lectures, clinical and scientific competitions, students’ presentations (poster, oral and plenary sessions) and a science speed dating with doctors and researchers.

Its 7th edition will take place between the 11th and 13th March 2016 with the following modules:

Heart to Heart (Cardiology), Raising Hope (Paediatrics), Brain-storm (Psychiatry)

It is our main purpose to promote an enriching scientific setting for learning, interaction and communication among students, health professionals and researchers alike. As we deeply value the social and cultural dimensions of the human being, the AIMS Meeting also includes a social program and a charity program for all its participants.

15th International Congress of Medical Sciences ICMS Sofia will be held at the Medical University of Sofia on May 12th-15th, 2016. For the last 14 years this annual event has become one of the leading and most important academic gatherings for medical students and young doctors in Europe with more than 500 participants. Our profound and leading philosophy is to stimulate and to contribute to the development of European scientific life by providing the best tribune to all those young scientists and future doctors who carry the light of the explorer.

After our successful experience with the last year’s Theme: Getting to the heart of science – New Perspecives in Cardiovascular Reserch, under which we hosted Prof. Thomas Krieg, Prof. Barbara Casadeii and Prof Ivo Petrov as our guest speakers, the Organizing Committee decided the theme of the 15th ICMS to be Starway to science – Imagine, Invent, Inspire!”.

ICMS offers interesting workshops for surgical stitching and knot tying, CPR,  First Aid and traffic incidents, plaster cats and many more. Apart from the academic atmosphere, the congress offers an unforgettable social programme in Sofia that makes you feel the spirit of Bulgaria!

The International Conference for Healthcare and Medical Students (ICHAMS) is held annually at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) to allow undergraduate healthcare and medical students to present their research to peers and professionals in the field. Our mission is to create a platform for students across the globe to interact with one another in order to challenge conventional methodology and encourage innovation in medicine.

The conference includes workshops offered on a variety of topics as well as keynote speakers representing incredibly impactful realms of medicine. Centred in the vibrant city of Dublin, Ireland, we also encourage our participants to embrace the rich culture via city walking tours and traditional Irish music.

The first conference was held in 2011 and in 2013 the conference received the Irish Healthcare Award for student project of the year. As we continue to grow as an international conference, we are continuing to follow our mission of creating a global platform for innovation and medical research. The seventh edition of the ICHAMS conference will be held on February 15-17, 2018. For more information visit our website or contact us at!

The iMed Conference is a congress for medical and life sciences’ students, organized by the Students’ Union of NOVA Medical School | Faculdade de Ciências Médicas. With seven successful editions so far, we have managed to inspire and motivate more that two thousand Portuguese and international students (725 only in our last edition), by providing the audience, each year, with a variety of highly selected lectures on the latest breakthroughs in investigation. The iMed Conference 8.0 - Lisbon 2016 is taking place between 13th and 16th October 2016. In its 8th edition, once again reunites some of the greatest minds in Medicine, to present their work regarding four topics we believe can change the future in health care – Neonatology, Rehabilitation in Ageing, Oncology and Psychiatry –, thus opening doorsfor the sharing and the debate of innovative ideas. Furthermore, we will be honoured with the presence of Professor Michael Bishop, awarded with the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1989 for the discovery of the cellular origin of retroviral oncogenes, and Sir Roy Calne, pioneer in the field of transplantation, awarded with the Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award in 2012. In order to stimulate the participants in the acquisition of medical skills, the iMed Conference is proud to provide them with practical and dynamic Workshops, concerning both clinical and surgical Medicine. “Hands-on” is the intended concept, which involves experimenting and contacting with subjects which are not part of the regular programme of medical schools. As on the previous editions, the participants will also have the opportunity to take part in several competitions; volunteering programs in several countries, 12.000€ in grants for basic and translational research and internships at the research facilities of one of the previous speakers, are the prizes up for grabs. Alongside with our scientific agenda, we offer the participants the chance to experience our social programme while getting to know Portuguese culture, places of interest and, hopefully, the sunny Portuguese weather.
